Penang Blogger Gathering Event

Last weekend, on the 24th of September, we had our much anticipated bloggers gathering at Sakae Teppanyaki, Auto City in Penang. This gathering saw a total of 20 attendees. The number of head count was made possible with the team spirit of the blogger group and the hardwork of the organiser of this gathering event, namely Ranney Kok (Marketing Execitive).

Apparently, it‘s not my first dining experience to Sakae Teppanyaki, the first and last time I dined there was in the mid of last year. The delicacies that we had before and now have somewhat changed a little bit. However, the night was not really about the food, it was mainly about people, free sharing of ideas and knowledge and most of us have fun.

The event started with the blogger arrival from 7:45pm onwards. For those who arrived early like us were busy mingling around and taking photos.

At first, we have received a RM50 gift voucher from Sakae Sushi & Teppanyaki while registration. The thing that made me unforgettable is we no need to pay RM20 for the registration which has been foresaid in the invitation. But, it’s fully sponsored by Sakae. It’s impressed me!

The food that I like the most there are Soft Shell Crape Crape and Hana Maki. Why do I like the Soft Shell Crape Crape and Hana Maki? The Hana Maki is made up of the rice and topped with the mayonnaise and 2 pieces of Salmon place around the rice and the mayonnaise. It not only looks nice but also tastes good.

Another one is Salmon Sashimi, which we tried to eat together with the Wasabi, and it’s heavenly nice as the salmon is fresh and it’s very soothing when swallowing it.

After that, we had Omo Tempura Soft Shell Crab. This dish came with fish floss, egg crepe, the mayonnaise, garlic and lemon together.

Next, we had the Live Lobster Mentaiyaki! Wow! The live lobster grilled with codfish roe & mayonnaise was served to us extremely well. The taste was just heavenly. Based on our group observations, we assume that this dish is to be hot favorites among ourselves.

One of the items that should not be missed is the dessert. They served us with Mango sorbet. It’s so delicious that I only have 3 words to describe it, which are yummy, luscious and prodigious!

Out of 10, I will give 8.5 as full marks, as the food in the restaurant is really nice. In a final note, I would like to recommend Soft Shell Crape Crape and Hana Maki to you.
